          The Reverend Rebecca Lynne Segers will be installed as the 19th pastor by the Presbyterian Church of Sweet Hollow on October 26th, 2003. The church was established in 1829.  The Reverend Johanna Johns Jung, Moderator of the Presbytery of Long Island, will preside.  The 56 Presbyterian Churches in Nassau and Suffolk Counties will be represented by: Deer Park Elder Arthur Ireland, Smithtown Elder Marie Zupka-Ludder, East Hampton Elder Sherry Wolfe, Sweet Hollow Elder William T. Walter, the Reverend John L. Wallace, the Reverend Wanda Lawry Hughes and the Reverend Edward Myers.  The pastor of Rebecca Segers’ former church, the Wilton Presbyterian Church, the Reverend David Graybill from the Presbytery of Southern Connecticut will participate as well as Elder David Uh of the Presbyterian Church of Long Island.  

            The last installation service in the Sweet Hollow church took place 37 years ago when the Reverend John L. Wallace was installed on October 9, 1966 .  

            As the Sweet Hollow Church prepares for its 175 anniversary in 2004 we invite you to join us for Pastor Segers’ installation on October 26, 2003 at 4 pm and to the reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
