FALL 2001 EVENTS SCHEDULE
September 7th, Friday Evening - At 6 PM, the Sunday School will be holding a cookout and campfire to kick-off the new Sunday School year. All Sunday School Families are invited to attend and bring a blanket or chairs, flashlight, and a finger food side dish or dessert. Hamburgers, hot-dogs, condiments and beverages will be provided by the church. It will be fun for all so please try to attend! Games, songs and stories around the campfire are planned. September 23rd, Sunday afternoon - An Auto Rally will begin at 3 PM. Starting at the church, cars spaced at 5 minute intervals will leave the parking lot and follow clues directing them along a scenic and picturesque route leading to a restaurant for a delightful dinner. It is a restaurant with a view! The cost is $22.50 per person. Sign up with Bill & Sukey Walter at 423-4905, even if you do not want to drive or use your own automobile. We’ll arrange for you to be included in someone else’s car. A sealed envelope with the name and directions to the restaurant is given to each car along with the list of clues, so you can break off the rally at any time and drive directly to the restaurant. The restaurant is limiting us to 50 persons in our private room, so get your names in before all of the spaces are taken.
September 24th Monday evening - The UPW invites all women of the church to take part in a pot luck supper starting at 7:30 PM. Bring a dish to share. Dessert and beverages will be provided. A good opportunity to catch up with old friends and new and help us start off the new church year. For further information contact Sukey Walter at 423-4905.
October 13th, Saturday evening - A progressive dinner will be held with 3 courses at 3 different locations. Hors d’oeuvres will be served at the first house, dinner at a second house, then we will all be together for dessert in the church for dessert and coffee. We will be contacting you soon to ask who will be willing to serve hors d’oeuvres, who will be willing to serve dinner and who will be willing to serve dessert and coffee. Each setting will be for 6 including the servers. Put this date on your calendar now.
